Hey everyone! Today, I am going to tell you about a bakery that you must visit when you are in west Sonoma County: Wild Flour Bakery in the picturesque Freestone valley. It is so good and it is in a super beautiful location.

Wild Flour Bread is known for its brick oven-baked sourdough breads, scones, and coffee drinks. With its wood-fired brick oven, the bakery produces exceptional hard-crust breads that attract visitors from miles away. On the menu you will find unique breads like an olive bread filled with greek olives, nigella seeds, topped with zatar, or my favorite, the fougasse which is a cheese bread with onions and mushrooms. Their scones are delicious with flavors like meyer lemon blueberry and maple pecan. There are also gluten free and vegan options.

But the bakery isn’t just about food. One of the coolest things about Wild Flour is the garden out back. They grow a lot of their own herbs, veggies, and flowers right there, so you’re literally eating ingredients that came straight from their garden. And you can actually walk around in the garden, see all the plants, and even have a little picnic if you want.

So, if you’re heading to Doran Beach or any of the other beaches along the Sonoma Coast, definitely stop by Wild Flour Bakery in Freestone. Grab some treats and a coffee, stroll through the garden, and start your beach day right. It is one of the many unique destinations in Sonoma County that you don’t want to miss.
